Brightened my day.....

Yesterday I got this card in the post...and after the few days I had had, it really made my day, thank you so much Gill, I love it....



The reason Gill sent it, was because we and some others were mucking around on do-crafts the other day talking about ice cream and profiteroles and when she came across the papers, thought of me....

so for the people that don't know me..... I really am a sweet, lol...



Oh yes, and thought I would share with you Steven's card for his nana and grandad for yesterday too.... I stuck the background down and gave Steven 2 hearts that I had stuck some double sided tape on one and double sided foam tape on the other, and he did the rest, and I personally think he did a very good job, don't think I could have stuck them on any better myself....

Mixed emotions....

Had to make a card last night for my mum and dads 49th Wedding Anniversary today.... I had been putting it off, as I knew I would be taking them to hospital for dad to have another dose of radiotherapy.... which he started yesterday....



The hearts are flocked, then matt and layered on a cuttlebug heart embossing folder, again matt and layered onto a white A5 card...



And earlier this week Steven went for his 2nd tea visit at the adult respite centre.... this time I didn't sit with him while he had his tea, but left him in the dining room with one of he's key workers and all the others diners, while I went into the office with the other key worker and looked through the forms that took me till 3.15am to finish the night before, or should I say that morning, lol, all 32 page of them.....

Hubby is home tonight, he's working over in Ireland at the moment, cannot wait to see him, as I need a BIG HUG.....

Good news for a change....

My daughter has got a new job, yeah...she's not been happy where she's been working for the last 6 months or so....

She saw a job advertised last week, then on Tuesday this week decided she WOULD go for it, so emailed her CV in, to get a phone call yesterday asking her to come for an interview today at 5.30, well I picked her up from work when she finished at 5, and took her to the place of interview....

I left her there and come home to sort out tea, and when she got home she said she felt it was well, then within half an hour of her getting home she got a phone call saying they had interviewed quite a few people and felt she was the best one for the job, and can she start 1st June... (OK not sure about that as has to give one months notice)....

so less that 48 hours after sending her CV she is a proud owner of a new dental nurse job...

a couple of good thing are not only a pay rise, but it's still within walking distance, so no travelling expense to worry about...

WELL DONE SAM, am really proud of you......

alphabets....

Am still trying to get some order in my stash, and not sure if I'm winning or not, the other week started on my alphabets, as I've been moving things around, have been dumping all the alphabets I find in a big box, so thought I'd better get some order in it, as I needed some letters for some birthday card....

Also when I was tidying the cupboard found a storage door hanger, it had 13 clear pockets in it, and thought I could keep any stragglers in there, I thought about putting 2 'letters' per pocket.... I bought the crate of alphabets from QVC last time they were shown, but not really touched them as when you open the little block, they all fell out, so I opened them all up and put them in the right bag and placed in the hanger, looking quick neat now, lol just hope they stay that way...

Had a lovely surprise today....

from my mum and dad thanking me for all the running around I've done for them since dads been bad...,

they are lovely, but you didn't have to, (but pleased you did, as they are lovely lol)...

Snail mail

Had a bit of a nice surprise the other week....

as got another box from Sall, but talk about snail mail, this one was posted on the 29th January, yes you saw that right January...








OK, Sall did get the post code the wrong way round should have been 5DH and she did 5HD, but I'd like to know why and how did Royal Mail decide to deliver it now...as we put it down to being lost and didn't even try finding it....

Thanks Sall, it's a fab box, and looks great next to the replacement......

picture frame

Have been trying to fill up our photos frames that I painted last year and put up, after redecorating the lounge and dining room....

Came up with the idea that I would put a few of Sam's 21st Birthday in one of the large frames and Seven's 18th in the other (slight problem there, have not had time to even look at his photos, let alone print any off, so that one will have to wait a bit longer)...


Anyway here is Sam's one, the top right photo was of the family meal we had at a Chinese Restaurant and there is her 21 pink roses in the pink vase hubby sprayed for her (as you guessed she loves pink, the brighter the better). So on the right hand side (by the 2008) there's a little picture of her opening a car on a train flat bed trailer (So she can play with it in the garden on our train tracks), again that hubby sprayed as she said she wanted a pink car for her birthday...well didn't want to disappoint her, lol....

The other photos are of the pub crawl, where the theme was silly hats and wigs and in my husband case a wooden tie too....

Oh yes and her large '21' balloon that seemed to stay up for ever.... and was put on a sheet of scrapbook paper from 'Provo Craft Little Princess' pad bought in America in 2006 by my daughter...
