Still stripping

Am doing well though, only got one wall left to do, oh yes and the bit behind the big, heavy unit, trouble is, it's where to put the items, while doing the decorating, our house is already bursting at the seems.

On the one left to do, it has shelves filled with DVDs, CDs and videos, and the heavy unit, is filled with glasses, drink, ornaments and books. thinking about, I'm sure to be able to down a couple of bottles, LOL.

We (hopefully) got someone coming Monday and Tuesday to skim the ceiling, take down old coving and replace it, and change the light fitting, (still got a fluorescent one is the dining area and want a pendent fitted to match the other end. Will have the other end to do still, but am hoping to set a date when he can do that after he has finished the first half.

P.S

Had an email early this morning from the dad, to say the op seems to have gone very well and the surgeon was pleased with what he was able to do. Unsurprisingly the boy was a bit groggy afterwards, but as the dad left the hospital at 10.00pm, the boy was busy trying to take the bandages off!

Doesn't sound as if the mum would have got much sleep last night, at least she should hopefully be napping now, as the dad was going back this morning, after sorting out their other son.

Had text

from the mum whose boy is having the op today, it said

'he is out of surgery, went well. Doped up on morphine'

all we can do now is wait.

I've been stripping...

...wallpaper, LOL

OK what did you think I was on about?

Have made a start on the loung/dinning room, the only trouble is I only get chance to do it if I have a whole free like today, so saw Steven onto the school bus, then came home, moved the furniture, covered what I had to with dust sheets, got changed into my decorating clothes and started that was 8.50, and carried on till 2.30, then it was the cleaning up, putting all the furniture back in it's right place, quick 2 minute shower then off to pick littlen up from after school club (finishes at 4.30, but have to leave by 4 because of traffic, as have to pick him up from school), have not got another WHOLE free day till next Thursday, so now you understand why it's on my list to finish by the end of the year.

Everything has to be packed away, room cleaned and all the furniture back in it's RIGHT place before littlen comes home, as he does not like change, as least this way he excepts the change in the decor slowly, also if anything is left lying around, it usually ends up in his mouth, being wallpaper or scraper etc.

the little darling, likes to keep me on my toes.

Up date

on things...

Well the op is set for next Monday, yesterday we went bowling, as it is another boys Birthday next week, and she did not want him missing out.

It was so weird seeing him bowling with not a care in the world, (in some ways that is best), have met up and chatted quite a lot with the mum and she is doing OK, as well as YOU would be feeling, with that weight on your shoulders.

what a week,

Started off with having Steven home with the bug, which tonight has returned, poor little mite.

Then got a very big shock, (still cannot believe it now) that one of Steven's friends has a fast growing brain tumor, they are going to operate in a couple of weeks and then 5 weeks of radiation,

also another friend phoned to say another mum we knows brother, suddenly dropped dead last weekend, he was only 50.

Makes you appreciate what you have.

Been thinking..

I know, I will have to have a sit down now, the shock of using my brain, LOL.

I thought this year I would set 10 goals of what I would like to do this coming year, so here goes, not in any particular order and there might be a little reason why afterwards.

1 DECORATE THE LOUNGE AND DINNING ROOM this is because Clive ripped the partition down on the 1st Dec

2 MAKE TIME OF AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH FOR CLIVE AND I TO HAVE SOME 'US' TIME.

3 LEARN TO DO MORE OF THE PAPER WORK FOR THE BUSINESS

4 MAKE MORE TIME FOR FRIENDS try and meet up or chat on the phone

5 DO MORE READING

6 DO AT LEAST 2 SCRAPBOOK PAGES A MONTH

7 HAVE A BATH AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH, don't laugh or screw your nose up, it's just I always jump in the shower every day, because of time.

8 TONE UP MY TUMMY,

9 MAKE USE OF THE CRAFTY STASH I ALREADY HAVE.

10 DE-CLUTTER THE HOUSE AND GARAGE

Most of these are things I have to do every month, so hopefully will give you a up date at the end on every month to what I have achieved.

Happy New Year

Just popped on to wish everyone I know and those I don't

a very HAPPY and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.

Am just off to pick up daughter from a friends, it shows she is growing up (she will be 21 in August) as I dropped her and a friend off to see the New Year in at a club in Chichester, (did look a nice one, wish I had put on my glad rags on instead of the lounge tracksuit I was wearing when dropping them off, LOL).

This is the first time at a club, she has seen the New Year in, around friends and (ex)boyfriend, but never a club.

Not sure how it went, she sounded a little delicate when she phoned, LOL, so will be interesting.
