WOW what a scorcher....

...the weekend was, we spent Saturday over the Island of Wight, we set off for the bus at 9am and got down to The Hard to get the fast cat over to the IOW...

Where we were collected by a friend who had taken he's car over earlier in the day, as we were there to visit a couple of garden railways...

The first was on the outskirts of Ryde, it was a lovely layout, every time you walked round you would see something you had missed the time before, it had lots of little details in the scenery..

and the other was in Bembridge, this layout was a little different as was based on the American line, which to be honest, I'm not a lover of... but WOW it was a different type of layout and they did have a couple of 'cute' engines, lol...

also that's the fun of going and seeing other garden railways, even though they are all 'G' scale based, they can be so different, everyone I've seen over the years have a different personality to it....

We then got the 5.45pm fast cat back and the number 21 bus home, with hubby getting off the bus a stop early to pop in the chippy, as we were all too shattered to stop off for a pub tea, which we had planned to do, but still a perfect end to a lovely but tiring day....

but still no crafting these summer holidays, but I really need to get my act together as have my daughters birthday card to do for Thursday and a couple of secret projects which have to be done by the 15 August.....
