More Graduation

Here are the last 2 layouts of my daughter's Graduation.

Again at the moment kept very simple, but if when doing other crafting, I find something in my stash that I feel can be added to the pages I will...

Both were papers from HOTP Paper Pizazz Sheets 'Great Backgrounds' also the papers to make the rosettes were from the same pad, which of course is made using the Tim Holtz 'mini rosette' decorative strip. The blue, matching Sam's stole on her robe and the red, to match my dress.

You might wonder why I've put our names on the pages.

Well, that's because it stops me having to sit over people telling them who is who and for another reason is, if the books get packed away for years and years, then people will be able to know who they are...

As I bet you've got lots of old photos of 'not' know who people are in them.

Oh yes Maria - I have lots and lots of those photos!! I keep phoning my Aunt in York to see if she knows who people are..
Great pages and a very good idea with the names.

Well done Maria. As I'm the original "minimalist" scrapper I think your pages are lovely just as they are! I love blue pages. Well done for putting the names. I tend to stick a note somehwere hidden (or stuffed in the back) with details of names etc. for posterity.

Well done sweetie.

Another set of lovely layouts Maria, sometimes less is more, and I think these a wonderful! Great idea to name who is in the photo, you're so right, I wish everyone did this and dated them too, not to mention where they were taken. I think I will get out my HUGE! photo box and start doing just that! Suzie xxx :)

Hi it's Maria said...

thanks suzie...xx

had to smile, as that's what I started last week, going through my photos, trying to sort them and date the ones that are not dated, not an easy job as got loads, lol..

Wonderful layouts Maria! I love those rosettes, tried to order one from QVC last time, but they'd sold out :( perhaps that's a good thing for me, as the stash diet really does have to start :)
By the way, did you see that Dawn Bibby has left?

I think you are so right to put as much writen detail on your layouts Maria, it always makes them so more interesting for others to read. How many times do we take photos and then years later can't remember who, where, when?

Thanks for all your kind comments on my blog Maria, blogger was very naughy yesterday and think they are now floating around cyber space :(
We adore Barney, he's soooo lovely! And visiting Carole was just great, with lots of yummy cake too!
I promise to upload pics soon of my little crafty room, not half as scrummy as your wonderful Arty Attic, but as least somewhere to trash the stash, lol!

Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful crafty work Maria!

Hugs to you and Steven!
Suzie xxxx :)
