The Cube...

It seems as soon as Gina gets her craft room, she gets all bossy, lol... She has been covering a cube from the cosmo cricket kit with baby paper for photos of her newest grandson Trafford.
So I was saying how lovely it looked, so she then pipes up.. I could do the same, lol... OK not for Trafford, but for my own photos, hehehe...

So how could I refuse...

I used brown acrylic paint for the edges, which is shown below...

I then set about covering the squares with blue and beige colour papers from my stash, as I want 'The Cube' to stay in my Arty Attic...

...and here is the covered cube...

As you can see it's not decorated as yet, but plan on having photos of my mum and dad on it, so think it will be a while before I get them together, but wanted to show that I have been busy crafting...

When I do get round to sorting out some photos and finishing the cube I will show it to you, and don't worry, I do plan on finishing it this year, lol...

December ATC

I'm quite chuffed with myself as back in 2009 Susiej set a challenge on DC for people to do a whole year of ATC starting January 2010.

The idea was with someone setting a different theme every month, then we would send one ATC to a partner and (hopefully) getting one back... OK not everyone did send one back for one reason or another, but I did enjoy doing the challenge and surprisingly I actually completed the whole year, OK was a bit late especially with my December ATC.

The December theme was to be a 'Christmas', set my susiej herself and we were to send one to every member that were left in the challenge (only 9 of us by then).

I tried to do a whole set of 8, so it was finding something that I had 8 of, lol... the paper is actually 'Anita's CLASSIC Christmas Gold Vellums' (6X6 size) in which I used a different sheet for each of them, the greeting and candle were all peel off's that I coloured in and were all the same on all 8, hence making it a set, lol...

I'm not sure who got which one, as they were all put into their envelopes and it was a day or so later I addressed them as I had misplace some addresses, but wanted to post them all out at the same time...

I would like to send a big Thank you to susiej for setting up this challenge and to doodles who also helped spread the themes and addresses round to us.

I DID really enjoy doing them, even though some months that was the only piece of crafting I did that month, but by being part of the challenge at least I did some crafting every month, even though it might have only been 2.5" x 3.5" lol...

Been crafting again...

This time it was a birthday card for a friend who's birthday it was last week...

Surprisingly the card was green, (as people that know Alma, will know that her favourite colour is green, lol)...

The flowers were white peel offs that I cut round and then filled in with different coloured ice stickles to add some bling. A few leaves were added with 3d foam to give it some dimension.

The greeting was part of a kit I had and again stuck on with 3d foam, the name was cut using my new decorative strip 'FINE FRENZY' and then ice stickles added again as I know Alma just loves bling, lol...

Thin die Storage

Some more of die storage... I have the 4 cube Expedit unit from Ikea sitting over the top of my stairwell, in which in one of the cubes I have these 2 pink storage boxes... (as you can see the decorative strip storage mentioned in a previous post are in the cube next door)

The one below was bought from B&Q and I keep my thin dies in.

It holds 12 empty 'Ferrero Rocher' boxes, which have different themes in them like Christmas, girls, holidays, babies etc.

Each box holds around 35 thin dies or about 20 medium.

The basket storage was bought from Poundstretcher and it holds 7 'take away' containers

Which I keep my cuttlebug dies sets in...

Embossing storage coming next.....
