Meet Gordon and Dave...

Gordon is the dear little robin that loves our garden...

and here is Dave our visiting blackbird...

and here is what we brought them for Christmas, yes a twig, lol...

OK, hopefully it will grow and have some berries on it one day, saying that, Gordon already likes it, lol...

and finally here is FB as my hubby calls him (Fat B******) who usually pinches the food before Gordon and Dave get a look in :-(

and finally their table and twig, covered in snow last week...

but don't worry we clean off their bird table and frozen bird bath... Oh and we now have a Mrs Dave now, but not managed to get a photo of her yet, ;-)

Hubby has dug out his posh camera, (as I call it), so hopefully he will get some better photos, that have not been taken through the kitchen window, lol...

Steven's crafty pressies

As usual through the year, I've encourage Steven to do some crafting, resulting in Christmas presents. I also try to think of things that are practical like the mugs and post-it books which he's done in the past...

Well this year, he decorated some calico bags...

Not sure if you can see but I added a loop of elastic and button, so they could be rolled up for easier carrying...

Which he did enjoy as you can see by the look on his face,

then the concentration, while doing the printing, lol...

So his nana, Great Aunts and a special crafty friend of mine, were the lucky owners of them...

Very special memories

Well Christmas feels a long time ago now, already been a busy year with Steven not being 100% and the snow, so having him home (which to be honest I do enjoy, OK not him feeling unwell). But have also been looking into going to Cyprus for a wedding later in the year but, the main event was within the first week of January we were at a Christening for Bethany, yep when she was just 2 weeks old...

That was because her 7 month old cousin Harlow was being christened, and seeing all the family were going to be there for hers, they asked my nephew if he wanted to have Bethany Christened at the same time, which they agreed too.

It was lovely going back to that particular church as it held special memories for me... As it was the very church I was christened and confirmed at, also was 3 times bridesmaids there and even got married there nearly 28 years ago. But the last time we were there was 25 years ago, for my daughters Christening, as we were living with my mum and dad at the time, as our house buy hadn't quite gone through. Steven got christened at the local church to us here. So yes brought back some lovely memories.

Here is the card I did for them both. OK I cheated as did them both the same seeing they were both girls, OK didn't know Harlow as she is part of my nephews wife side of the family, but couldn't go without making her a card, lol...

Again very simple, but I enjoyed making them...

Few christmas gift makes

This year I managed a few last minute Christmas makes, (every year I say I'm going to start them early, lol).

Christmas tree decorations for my some of crafty friends...

and these bracelets for my 2 great nieces, (ages 13 and 11)...

putting them inside these little bags, made from a book I brought off of QVC yonks ago, lol...

and finally this door hanger for my great nephew, as he's just got a Mickey Mouse bedroom...

OK, I also made 3 tag calenders but got them into the post so quickly, forgot to take a photo of them but hopefully one of the recipients will, lol... they are very similar to the one I made Sue last year...

All wrapped out

I do the kid stockings, OK Steven only has a few in his and in fact this year it was under the tree and not in his bedroom, as no sister to help him open them :-( But on a plus side Sam would wake him up at 5, help him open his stocking, then because he was awake we would all have to get up and open our presents under the tree. And an hour later, our daughter will go back to bed leaving us to entertain Steven, as when he is up, he is up and no naps through the day, so making it a very long day for us (but not Sam, lol).

So was quite nice not getting up till 8, (Steven was awake at 6, but was happy to chill and watch a DVD in bed, in fact we had to encourage him to get out of bed at 8, lol. Well he had been helping with the animals at his day centre on Christmas Eve). Anyway a nice relaxing start to Christmas...

Well this year Sam and Matt had sacks not stocking and I counted as I wrapped their pressies and it worked out around 55 items each ahhhh. They consisted of practical presents like lem-sips, paracetamol, washing liquid, dish clothes etc. personal ones, like knickers, t/shirts, socks, deodorant etc. teats of sweets and sauces they like and finally silly presents like quiz bar mats, cat-a-pult etc...

They had their own named sack with their personal, treats and silly ones wrapped in red or pink paper, then the practical ones wrapped in white and divided into each sack...

This was the photo and comment on facebook from my daughter, (as Santa delivered them round THEIR house, so they had the mess to clear up)...

We have come to the conclusions from our stockings that Santa left us that;
We are always ill or have headaches, Our breath must smell,We don't wash our clothes enough, Our feet are always cold and we love Donald and daisy hehe thanks Santa :-) xxxx

Matt loved it, as never had stockings at his house, he said it was nice to be treated as a kid, so made it all worth while...
